My name is Zarina Macha. This is my music blog where I write about music related topics and review artist's work. As a musician myself I care about helping to promote other independent musicians.
I work by commenting exclusively on the musical style and genre as well as what the artist is singing about. I tailor my reviews to what the music reflects in its form and give opinions on what I liked, and compare to similar well-known artists. I also comment constructively if I feel something could have been improved or done better.
I don't see the point in saying 'this wasn't my thing' or 'didn't like it' because I see that as unhelpful and subjective - of course not every single thing I get sent is what I might normally listen to but it is somebody's work and I respect that. No one has ever sent me anything that is to a poor or mediocre standard (which I wouldn't review anyway).
